If you are not a beginner, you require to take a placement test before registering for a course in English, German or Spanish. For all other languages you need to submit the LLC certificate for the previous course (i.e. A1 for registration for an A2 course) or the relevant result of a placement test (also see our Guidelines).
Assessing Languages with the Common European Framework for Language References
All courses at the LLC follow the Common European Framework for Language References. In 2001, the “Common European Framework for Language References” (CEFR) formulated several descriptions for the respective language competences in six different levels. In accordance with the global descriptors, you have a clear structure as a reference upon which our courses are based.
